Born in 1976, Joe's formative years were in a rural farm setting in Cornwall near the beautiful Helford river. This connection to the land, its moods and seasons, has provided him with a great respect for the landscape in all its forms.

He studied fine Art painting at Degree level at Cardiff University, going on to teach Art at a Cornish Secondary School, which he has continued to do for the last 18 years. He has photographed the landscape since the age of 16, using an Olympus OM30 back then, but has since moved to a digital and a medium format film set up, focusing on the less told stories around the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, as well as further afield.

Joe has been running very successful workshops for individuals of all abilities for some years, showing them ways to improve both technically with the equipment and emotionally with the subject. His teaching background, artistic understanding and intimate knowledge of the local Cornish landscape for nearly 40 years offers a great opportunity to those wanting to move their own photography forward.

This website offers a chance to purchase one of Joe's photographs in a variety of formats to suit your needs. Rest assured the quality of the prints and levels of service are excellent, and he strives for all round customer satisfaction. Please contact him with any specific requirements you might have. He can print fine art images on photo rag paper to order.
